Vocational Day Program

The Vocational Day Program provides supervised work environment for adults over the age of 21 who have developmental disabilities. Participants assist in product assembly and document shredding from various private companies in the Baltimore area. All clients are paid for their work. Training in self-help skills, communication, social adjustment, vocational adjustment, and functional community skills may be included as appropriate for each participant. For admission, an individual must be certified as having a developmental disability. All individuals must be referred through the Developmental Disabilities Administration.

Day Extension

Day Extension Program offers an opportunity for individuals in the Day Habitation Program to advance towards independence hrough life skills training and Community Volunteer activites. Transportation is provided.

Supported Employment Program
St. Peter’s Adult Learning Center believes in the holistic approach to learning and development. In an effort to provide the individuals in our programs with a broad range of experiences, St. Peter’s offers supported employment services and work adjustment program to qualified individuals with development disabilities. The age limit of the individuals we serve is 21 and over. These services are provided at no cost to those people whose eligability is determined by the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). Individuals are referred in order to seek assistance in overcoming barriers to employment. The vocational barriers addressed include development of good work skills, increasing speed and productivity, foundations for self-confidence and self-esteem, problem solving, inproving social and communication skills, presenting oneself in an interview, gaining independence, increasing motivation, and defeating various other barriers which prevent consistent work formance .
